Stretford Manchester A simple #quickwin solution to widen a gap but not too wide to allow 4 wheeled motor vehicles through. The gate is locked in a partially open position 'ajar' #ajar

Northwall Road in @noordinarypark. This is what happens when you build a neighbourhood with no public car parking, but don’t provide the infrastructure to allow people to use public transport, walk, or cycle there. #olympiclegacy https:// ... [more]

A barrier on the track up to the Union Canal.

Surface dressing at the Carradale Avenue junction on Glenfuir Road.

Another barrier in Summerford Park.

I'm not sure who is welcome to Summerford Park. I had to turn my handlebars sideways and lift the front wheel to get through this.

Filtered permeability on Summerford Road.

On the way to the park at Summerford, but there's no dropped kerb to join the path.

A short length of path near the Forth & Clyde Canal. If only it went further.

Robin Hood way. Muddy and hard-going uphill, there had been a shower the night before but that was preceded by weeks of sunshine

It was a month ago, but Amiens welcomed the Tour de France on Bastille Day.

Pass Cyclists Safely sign - indicating the required 1.5m clearance.

Dead trees, ivy strewn, collapsing into the Love Lane path. Particularly hazardous at night.

Hedgerow saplings collapsing across the path at waist height, forming a soggy barrier in wet weather. This path, like so many, needs better maintenance, particularly of summer growth.

Development by the redditch road. (Why are all my photos sideways? )

  • Icon 101614 There is some Royal Borough of Greenwich resident parking which is rarely if ever used. It would be an excellent use of this space to add cycle stands, especially the covered type which are lockable (I think a council run key scheme operates?j
  • Icon 101582 This is right outside the tresury which encourage people to cycle to work, but there is no bike stands

  • Icon 101577 Water street near Victoria and Albert Hotel funky drawbridge is quite fun though, when you cycle over it, it tips! But it no longer leads anywhere. https://twitter.com/SalfordMH/status/1028034123611418627 Hopefully this bridge will lead to somewhere when the long awaited replacement to Princes Bridge is opened (it's complete for use by cyclists but is waiting construction and development work to start and complete by 2020 at earliest) #11938 #87848 . The SFA (Strategic Regeneration Framework ) hopefully includes the opening up of both sides of the River Irwell as green linear spaces
